Detoxification, detoxication or detoxing?

The use of the terms detoxification or detoxication can confuse many people. And even more so if we add the word “detoxification”. On this site, we have chosen détoxication to facilitate the short word “DETOX”, but the properties of our cures are essentially to eliminate toxins. It is up to you to choose the word that suits you best.

In short, we can use both terms, but “detoxification” is the term most commonly used to describe the process of getting rid of harmful substances or addictions. This is what our cures offer to put all the chances of passing your drug tests on your side. It is also the term used to mean closed retreat cures for people who are battling addictions. So we often hear the term in the context of being in a detox!

“Detox” is a more general term that can describe this process, but it can also be used to describe efforts to cleanse or purify the body of toxins generally.

In summary, “detoxification” is the most accurate term to describe the process of getting rid of harmful substances or addictions, while ” detoxication” is a more general term that can be used to describe efforts to cleanse or purify the body. Our cures therefore allow for both detoxification and detoxication from the perspective of cleansing and purifying the body.

Finally, the term “detoxification” is a term that can be used interchangeably with ” detoxication” and ” detoxing”. All three describe the process of getting rid of harmful substances or addictions, or cleansing or purifying the body of toxins in general. There is no significant difference between these terms and they can be used interchangeably. Note, however, that the term detoxification seems to be more related to pharmacology, which is described as an operation by which a compound loses its toxicity.

Your last drug use is the most significant

To determine your chances of fooling the drug tests, it would be important to determine when you last used drugs and stop immediately if you don’t.

Most drug tests are done on urine samples. Research and experience show that beyond four days, it is often difficult to find significant traces in urine. On the other hand, traces can be found in hair, for example, for up to 100 days. You would be wise to ensure that you thoroughly clean your hair and scalp with the right shampoo.

If you need to be tested, the first thing you should do is stop using drugs immediately. You can then start drinking excessive amounts of water on a regular basis, several liters a day.

You can choose the best course of treatment for you immediately and start as soon as you receive your detox kit. Ideally, you should always have a kit on hand so that you can react as soon as your test is announced or anticipated.

Factors that influence the level of intoxication

The duration of the effect of drugs and alcohol on the body varies considerably. For example, the euphoria caused by cocaine lasts 15 to 30 minutes, but detectable traces may remain in the body longer. The effect of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) lasts from 6 to 12 hours. The effects of alcohol can vary. For example, it takes an adult male up to 7 hours to metabolize alcohol until his body returns to a zero blood alcohol level. After consumption, alcohol can be detected in breath and blood for up to 24 hours, and in urine for up to 80 hours.

Testing methods vary depending on how long a substance remains in the body after its effects have worn off. Some drugs remain in the body for only a few days, while others last for months.

Some factors that determine how long a drug stays in the body/system are :

  • The amount of the toxin used
  • The frequency of use
  • Your level of hydration
  • Your general health
  • Your BMI, i.e. your % of body fat
  • Your physical activity
  • The medications you are taking

You can help yourself by reducing or eliminating toxins, hydrating excessively, exercising to get the most out of your body and avoiding fat during your treatment. Favour green vegetables and fruits.

REGULAR DETOXIFICATION: A GOOD HABIT TO ADOPT

With our current lifestyle, we are exposed to various sources of toxins every day. You don’t have to be a drug user to be intoxicated. It is enough to eat processed foods, foods full of pesticides, junk food and to be exposed daily to sources of lead, mercury and other chemical elements that poison us little by little.

HAVE A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

It’s easy to say that we should change our habits. How often do we try to adopt a new lifestyle only to forget our good resolutions at the slightest temptation? And what about our resolutions to work out or drink a lot of water. We’re all human and staying the course can be a real struggle.

Having a healthy lifestyle does not necessarily mean sacrificing. You have to find the right balance and enjoy it so much that it becomes as natural as breathing. A good habit is developed gradually. Small steps, small gestures, nothing is left to chance. Let’s start by drinking more water every day. It is said that a bad or good habit takes 21 days to become natural. Give it a try. In the meantime, here’s how to figure out how much water to drink each day.

The recipe for establishing your daily drinking amount:

-> Your weight in pounds divided by two. This will give you the number of ounces you need to drink in a day! To know the amount in ml, do the result x 30! Example: Someone who weighs 160 pounds (160 divided by 2=80 ounces of water per day). In milliliters, that's 2400 ml or 2.4 liters.

BEYOND HEALTHY HABITS: A CURE FOR EACH SEASON

Even the most disciplined people with healthy habits can’t escape it; a good cure is beneficial in every way. Cures cleanse the body and help us release accumulated toxins in the liver and other filtering organs. What about the intestines that tend to hold our toxins sometimes for days.

At this level, here is another tip to help you validate the duration of your intestinal transit.

Swallow a teaspoon of white sesame seeds. Note the time.

Then watch your stool to note when you see your sesame seeds. Depending on the length of time, tell yourself that if your bowel movements last more than 18 hours or less than 6 hours, there is a red flag.

WHAT ARE THE REASONS FOR DRUG TESTING?

Who can be tested for drugs?

If you’re reading this, you’re probably already under imminent threat of a drug test. If not, you’re worried about a loved one or just curious. We try to shed some light on this topic that is of increasing concern with the legalization of recreational cannabis. Just because it’s legal doesn’t mean everyone can use it. Drug testing is therefore about checking whether people are using or have used drugs. These tests can be done routinely or randomly in the following cases:

  • People who are applying for or already working in certain types of jobs (such as pilots or truck drivers)
  • People in a substance abuse treatment program, to detect ongoing substance abuse and thus the best treatment plan
  • People who are required to be tested as part of custody hearings
  • For life insurance applications with medical examination
  • Certain groups such as students, athletes and prisoners
  • People who have been involved in motor vehicle or boating accidents, or work-related accidents
  • Persons who attempted suicide by uncertain means
  • Persons subject to a court-ordered substance abuse treatment program or with conditions of probation or parole requiring abstinence, to monitor compliance
  • The military

Drug testing demystified

Drug testing cannot determine how often a substance is used, and therefore also cannot distinguish between occasional and regular users. In addition, drug testing only targets certain substances and therefore leaves others out. These screenings most often target the following substances:

  • Marijuana, (cannabis, pot)
  • Cocaine
  • Alcohol
  • Amphetamines
  • Barbiturates
  • Benzodiazepines
  • Natural and semi-synthetic opiates
  • Phencyclidine (PCP)

A sample of urine, blood, exhaled air, saliva, sweat, or hair may be analyzed. Urine tests are the most common because they are noninvasive, quick, and can detect many drugs.

They can detect drugs that have been used in the previous one to four days, sometimes for longer, depending on the drug used. Blood tests are rarely performed because they are invasive and only detect drugs up to a few hours after ingestion.

Hair analysis is not widely available, but can detect drugs if they have been used less than 100 days. There are extremely effective shampoos to give your hair a deep clean if you don’t want to shave it.

Health professionals can directly observe the sample collection and seal it to ensure that it is not tampered with.

The limitations of drug testing

Drug tests are not always accurate. The most commonly performed urine tests give partial and sometimes incorrect results. Sometimes the tests do not detect a drug the person is using (a false negative result). This can happen, for example, when a test is not designed to detect a specific drug or has limited sensitivity to that drug, when the urine is very dilute and the amount of drug in the urine is below the detection limit of the test, or when the person mixes a substance with the urine to alter the sample or presents a sample produced by someone else.

Inversely, tests sometimes appear positive when the person is not using drugs (false positive result). For example, consumption of poppy seeds can cause a false positive result for opiates (heroin is derived from poppies).

The real question is: do you want to take the chance to test positive? Surely not, so our advice and cures can help you put all the odds on your side. No one can guarantee your success considering all the factors, but we guarantee that you will have all the tips to make an optimal detoxification cure.

TYPES OF DRUG TESTS

Drug testing can be done in a variety of ways. The two most popular tests are point-of-care testing devices and laboratory tests. An instant drug test, can be used to screen for the presence of drugs in urine or oral fluid and provide qualitative results. A laboratory can also be used to perform qualitative screening of the sample as well as quantitative confirmation of the drug test results using specialized laboratory equipment.

Here are the major drug tests and what you need to know.

On-site urine drug testing

Urine testing is the most commonly used method for detecting illicit drugs. Piss-in-a-cup sampling is noninvasive; it does not involve the use of needles. Urine samples can contain high concentrations of parent drugs (drugs of abuse) and drug byproducts. However, urine samples are less effective than some other methods for detecting drugs and alcohol because they have a short lookback period. In other words, a urine test is less likely to detect regular drug use beyond a 48-day period. Another disadvantage of urine tests is the ease and possibility of tampering with samples.

Lab or on-site blood testing

Although blood tests are more invasive than breathalyzer and urine tests, they are the most effective at detecting specific levels of alcohol concentration. Some blood tests show the precise levels of intoxication 24 hours after drinking.

Because of the invasive nature of traditional blood sampling, which involves a needle stick in the arm, many laboratories and other facilities now offer less invasive methods of sampling, such as sampling with a drop of blood.

These blood tests can reveal drug metabolites in the blood, as well as the actual amount or level of drug in the blood. This collection technique reduces the risk of sample tampering or substitution by patients, as is the case with urinalysis.

Oral drug testing and saliva drug testing

Saliva testing is another minimally invasive method of drug testing. However, saliva is only useful for testing recent drug use. For example, saliva testing for marijuana can only yield accurate results if the subject has smoked/used cannabis within 4-10 hours.

An oral drug test is therefore an easy way to detect the presence of drugs without having to worry about the confidentiality of urine drug tests.

Hair drug testing

Hair drug tests are normally performed by a certified laboratory. A hair test can screen for a number of commonly used drugs and prescription medications. The hair test can detect the use of these drugs up to 100 days back.

The drug metabolites enter the blood vessels of the scalp. The hair filters the drug and keeps a permanent record of the drug use. This means that a user who used cocaine, marijuana or other drugs several months ago will test positive because the drug residue remains in the hair.

In summary

Keep in mind that this cat-and-mouse game is fueled by many increasingly sophisticated techniques to catch the wrongdoers.

Your best bet is to detox as soon as possible so that no traces of drugs or alcohol are found in your samples, whatever they may be.
